Blade Dancer

Kiv-Jirahir - by B. Kellestine - 2021 v2.0

Summary The Bladedancer who masters the Kiv-Jirahir, or ‘one dancer’ styles utilize either a single handed weapon, or a two-handed weapon. Kiv-Jirahir specialists utilize styles such as Matarys, Xifa, Vesah, or most commonly, Noj-Vrah. They tend to focus on crowd-control, personal defense, and attacking in a radius instead of personal duels. That’s not to say that the practitioners of the Kiv-Jirahir styles do not duel; they simply do not put exhaustive focus on it over the ability to engage multiple targets at a time.

Class Skills Single-Weapon Specialist

Blade-Dancers of the Kiv-Jirahir styles excel with use of one weapon above all, be they a single-handed, two-handed, or double weapon. (+10% Melee hit when using a single melee edged weapon.)

Zorah’s Reach

The Blade Dancers of the Kiv-Jirahir styles learn to use their weapon not only against a single target, as in a duel, but in large unit combat against multiple opponents. Once per day, the Blade Dancer can call on Zorah to work through their weapon, charging it with Divine Lightning. It is said by Grandmasters that Zorah herself grants the Blade Dancer in her favor lightning from her own war-spear, Narseeya. This charge is expelled in an area of effect around the Blade Dancer, striking all enemies in a 10’ radius of them. Enemies (or unfortunately placed allies) must make a successful evasion roll, or be stunned for 1d3 rounds. This damage is Divine Electricity, and is treated as magical when considering enemies with resistance or weaknesses. This talent can be used once per day. (1/d can attack a 10’ r with lightning, evade or stun for 1d3 rounds)

Dancer’s Focus

Kiv-Jiahir styled Blade Dancers lose themselves in the Dance, much like a berserker can lose themself in their frenzy. As such, they are trained to stay in the dance, in the moment, and withstand outside influence on their minds that might disrupt their deadly art. As such, these Blade Dancers gain a -25% bonus to MD vs any mind-control, fear, or insanity rolls while engaging in combat. In addition, they gain 3 attacks per round. (3 attacks per round. -25% MD vs mind control, fear, and insanity)
