Besmit Academy (Current Chronicle)
Sapphire Lounge - By Brad Kellestine v.1 2021
The lowest floor of Besmit Academy's Sapphire House is the Sapphire Lounge, a large recreational facility provided for students residing on campus in the House dormitory. Large enough to seat the House's maximum capacity of 200 students and staff, though only possible when other amenities are displaced and tables are brought in. Normally, the lounge can seat 80 at booths, couches, tables, and the west counter where new hire Lunchlady Xandra and her assistant Tad might be found preparing meals and serving the students.
The lounge features a moderate sized dance floor and humble stage for special events, as well as two billiard tables, dartboards, and table-tennis. A large marble fireplace is set on the south wall, with ample seating to study on cool evenings. During the warmer seasons, the west patio and gardens - tended by our own botany students - offers a stunning atmosphere and a relaxing distraction from the rigors of academia.
Stairs at the east and west of the building lead to the dorms above, leading to the gentleman's and ladies dorms respectively. Though Besmit doesn't force a lights out time upon students, a curfew restricting them to the dorms and lounge is in place after 12:00 am without a letter of authorization from an instructor, and by no means are students permitted off campus later than this time without parental authorization.
