Blade Dancer

Daixah-Jirahir - by B. Kellestine - 2021 v2.0

Summary A Blade Dancer who masters the paired-dance, or Daixah-Jirahir focuses their efforts on paired weapons or in the case of Kahrah, weapon and shield (though to a blade-dancer, there is no distinction). Most commonly, Kahrah and Rajsho practitioners will be found among the Daixah-Jirahir, with Amirysir the rarest. Though exceptional duelists, the Daixah-Jirahir can just as often be seen dancing their deadly dance on the battlefield, moving between high-priority targets and eliminating them with swiftness and grace.

Class Skills Dual-Wielding Specialist

Blade Dancer’s of the Daixah-Jirahir styles are masters of dual-wielding bladed weapons. (+10% Melee Hit while Dual-wielding {including using shields}).

Narseeya’s Thrust

Blade Dancers of the Daixah-Jirahir path can focus divine power into a single, deadly strike at an enemy before them. Drawing on Zorah’s divine strength, they imbue one of their weapons - and in fact, their entire arm - with lightning said to originate from this talent’s namesake - Narseeya, Zorah’s deadly War-Spear. They need not be directly before their foe to do so; this attack will extend up to 15’ before them, and strike faster than the eye can perceive. This attack does not require an attack roll, instead forcing their opponent to either evade or block the attack at a -15% penalty. Besides the obvious melee and divine lightning damage this deals, it has a 65% chance to put the opponent in shock, resulting in the inability to attack or make any actions that are not retreating or defending themselves. The Blade Dancer must take care, however, to not use this talent in a way that might besmirch their honor, lest they risk falling from Zorah’s favor and becoming a Tal-Jirahir. This talent is a divine gift granted but once per day. (1/d make a guaranteed attack that can be dodged or blocked at a 15% penalty. 65% chance of forcing the target into shock.)

Sister-Swords

The Blade Dancers focusing on the Daixah-Jirahir styles excel at combat with 2 weapons, and using their off-hand to assist in their personal defense. Due to the focus required to Dance with a second weapon, they do not gain the resistance to mind-effects that their single-weapon counterparts are granted. Instead, they gain a degree of protection from incoming attacks, easily redirecting incoming blows away from their body as well as some armor can. (3 Attacks per round, -10% Armor Rating while dual-wielding melee weapons.)
