Black Doubloon
A coin minted and sanctified at a Temple of Orinako, these are given to those whom are marked for ill-fortune, by either seers or priests dedicated to the dark side of Fortune. Those found in the possession of such coins are usually actively avoided by most common folk. Easy to spot, as the coins are fashioned from Blacksilver.
Doubloon
Any coin minted and sanctified at a Temple of Orin is called a Doubloon, and can act as tender in any nation, that recognizes Orin as a god. Typically these coins are exceedingly rare, and usually only given to their priesthood, however they have circulation amongst pirates especially, who favor them over currency associated with a nation.
Imperial Mark of A'tese
Crafted from Dracothyrium, these coins were once the currency of the D'Mirian Empire, during Empress A'tese's reign. Exceedingly rare now, one of these coins, which has A'tese's lovely profile on one side, and the burning black sun of the D'Mirian Empire on the other, can fetch a handsome price in nearly any nation.
Thief's Tender
Typically used by thieves, when stealing coin, or anything of weighted worth that, to avoid detection, needs that weight replaced by something else, or if a thief wishes to leave a sort of calling card. These are often lead rings, with wooden centers, that will often have the symbol of Orinako, or Synri upon it, or perhaps the glyph of whatever thieves guild the thief in question belongs to. If the wood of the coin is painted gold, it is considered a promise to repay the money or replace the item at a later date. If the wood is painted red, then the thief considers the stolen money, or item blood money, a recompense for a slight or wrongdoing committed.
