Next Guide - Loot Guides
Most treasure found at the end of an event is of the mundane type, with no special designation. This doesn't make the loot in question not valuable, it simply doesn't have a particular story to tell...
A neo-Victorian Magitech Adventure RPG
Craftsmen of the highest tiers may craft weapons with the potential to become the work of legends, storied weapons wielded by the most famous (or infamous) warriors or magi. As these weapons are of the most superior quality, they require expensive or exotic materials and reagents to craft, and need a great deal of time and work to complete.
Items of Legendary potential may be crafted by a Grandmaster of their craft. These weapons are not created by accident, and therefore the intent to create such items must be stated before discussing rolls with the GM. Potential legendary weapons must be crafted of superior materials, and most often integrate expensive tempers or rune-forging. A weapon of such standing must succeed not only its standard and masterwork rolls, but also its sentience check. Finally, the character must spend no less than 2 weeks crafting the item, though only the first week requires a roll to be made. A failed roll attempt to create a legendary-quality weapon does not ruin the materials needed to make it, however a failed crafting roll cannot count as one of the 2 working weeks, and is simply a week of wasted work.
Minor Artifacts may be completed by a Legendary craftsman only, and requires not only the standard, masterwork, and sentience check, but a 50% chance to create an artifact check made after. Furthermore, this cannot be rolled on a re-roll for a botched item, as granted by the Legendary tier of craftsmen or some high quality items. Only the most exotic materials may be used, many of which must be acquired from places and beings of power or the planes. No less than 4 weeks may be spent on the item, though only the first week of crafting requires a roll. Like Legendary tier items, a failed roll does not ruin materials needed, however a failed crafting roll cannot count as one of the 4 working weeks, and is simply a week of wasted work.
