Luisellia

Royal City

The Royal City is the crown jewel of Luisellia. It takes up the entire center portion of the city, sharing only the barest edge of the high-altitude majesty with the richest sections of the Market ward. The Royal City is the administrative capital of the province, and it is governed by the Lord-Governor Abritch Stonewrit. Lord-Governor Stonewrit is known for his public appearances and steadfast resolve, and also for his rumored closeness to Queen Lucrezia. The Royal City does have residences, but administrative functions and high-end storefronts take up most of the space. In particular, the Royal Schools of Poetry and High Sorcery have their campuses and dormitories in this ward. The Five Chapels, grand cathedrals devoted to the patron deities of Luisellia, flank the Lord-Governor’s Palace and together with the Royal Library form one of the most austere and magnificent promenades in the entire kingdom.

  • Five Chapels of Luisellia (Zorah, Kaal, Hiron, Jadaia, and the Twins): Beautiful structures that are designed to serve as seats for High-Priests and Hierophants of their respective religions. These chapels house priests, exorcists, and crusaders, and they provide services to needy citizens.

  • Palace of the Lord-Governor: The center of administrative life for the entire province governed by Luisellia. The current occupant, Lord-Governor Stonewrit, runs a tight ship and has a reputation for steadfast and earnest honesty. One must have a reason to enter this building.

  • Royal School of High Sorcery: The Royal School of High Sorcery makes students out of mages and seers. It is often easier to get into than the schools of magic in Tal`Rah, and for that reason attracts a wide variety of students. It can offer tutoring in the High Spheres of Dimensional, Transmutation, and Spiritism for those who qualify.

  • Royal School of Poetry: The premier bardic institution in all of Imarel. It tutors students in all manner of song, dance, poetry, and visual arts. The Royal School of Poetry can claim many illustrious artists as its alumni, and it is a personal favorite of the Crown.

  • Royal Library of the Kingdom of Moonfall: The grand collection of ancient works administered by the Kingdom of Moonfall itself, this space is dedicated to the preservation of knowledge about Shalzaari history in particular. It also houses paintings, sponsors musicians to perform ancient pieces, and has an annual festival to celebrate learning.
